Baseball
Key Returners: Seniors Elijah Penne, Landon Kukowski, Adrian Monarrez, Wyatt Cassens, and junior Cale Nettleton
Rivals: Geneseo, Rock Falls, Sterling Newman, and Dixon
Captains: To be determined
Kukowski said, “This upcoming season we have a lot to look forward to. The team is very connected and ready to have a good time. We have some holes that need to be filled by seniors from last year, but I’m confident in our guys. We’ve been preparing all offseason with summer ball, and optional practices.”
Boys Tennis
Key Returners: Seniors Xavian Prather, Koby Bell, and Gavin Staats
Rivals: Geneseo, Alleman, and Moline
Captains: Aron Rivera, Micah Peterson, and Jacob Prevo
Staats stated, “I think we are going to have a strong and competitive team this year. I have seen many improvements in both my teammates and myself. I look forward to starting this season off strong, absent from injuries that ended teammates’ seasons early last year.”
Boys Track
Key Returners: Seniors Maurice De La Cruz, Brady Hartz, Ryan Gebhardt, and junior Gavino Munoz-Ripley
Rivals: United Township
Captains: No captains
De La Cruz said, “I feel great about this season. We have been doing volume based workouts while working out in the gym and everyone has been consistent with it. Last year’s seniors had a great impact on this team showing us what leadership is and always veering us in the right direction and always trying to help.”
Girls Track
Key Returners: Seniors Anessa Johnson, Abby Ryan, Alivia Gibson, and junior Kaelee Varden
Rivals: Rock Falls, Dixon, and Geneseo
Captains: Seniors are team leaders
Johnson said, “I’m excited for this season, we’ve been practicing a lot and focusing on getting better and faster, we’re all going to work hard to fill those roles by stepping up in events they used to score in.”
Girls Soccer
Key Returners: Seniors Delia Block, Natalie Scarbrough, and Illyana Moreno
Rivals: Dixon, United Township, and Moline
Captains: To be determined
Scarbrough shared, “I’m feeling pretty good about this upcoming season. We’ve just been giving it our all at practice to make sure that we’re prepared for the season. The team and I will do our best filling those holes by putting in a lot of hard work and passion for our season.”
Girls Softball
Key Returners: Seniors Mya Lira, Lily Cantu, and Lily Martinez

Lira stated, “I am super excited about this upcoming season. We’ve worked really hard in the offseason with a lot of girls showing up to offseason lifts and conditioning which shows a lot of drive and determination from many. Last year’s seniors showed us how to be leaders and step up when needed no matter what grade you’re in.”
