People have their preference when it comes to what brand they wear in their sport. The most popular brands are Nike and Adidas. A lot of people like wearing a certain brand because of the way it fits them, the color ways/designs or they just like the brand better in general.

  Basketball is an active sport and when they are running up and down the court. They want something that is going to be breathable, stretchy, and comfortable. Basketball doesn’t wear pads like football does so they have to be able to pick and choose what they like best and what brand fits the best. 

  Junior Kaedon Phillips says, “Nike is one of my favorite brands for all my basketball stuff because they way it fits me, the performance, designs, and the support.”    

  Basketball is an aggressive sport and they need protection. They also want to be able to have something lightweight and comfortable because you are running around and get sweaty easily.

  When they play volleyball you want to be able to move for a ball so most people wear knee pads. Junior Delali Amankwa says, “I like Nike most of the time but Nike’s knee pads don’t do anything for me because I throw myself on the floor. Otherwise Nike all the way.” Volleyball is a type of sport where you have to be comfortable in what you are wearing because you wear spandex that does show a lot and people’s bodies are totally different. They also wear tighter jerseys and they want something that makes them feel comfortable and makes them want to play the game.

  Football has a totally different type of sport wear because they tackle each other and need a lot of padding and they need to have comfortable things to cover their padding.   

  Senior Lucas Austin said, “Nike is my favorite brand for football because it fits me the best and their cleats are the best for my position and have lots of ankle support that I need.” Football is a sport they need something stretchy to fit over their pads and something comfortable to play in. 

  Most athletes like Nike more than Adidas due to comfort and how it fits them. Nike is a fan favorite for sports due to how many options they have and how they are a more popular sport brand and brand in general.
