On February 20, 2026, junior Jack Saathoff broke the season rebounds record that was held by Aidan Shore since 2019. Saathoff finished the season with 363 rebounds with 31 games played. This is a significant year for Saathoff showing his dedication, consistency, and love for the game of basketball. This reflects on Saathoff’s hard work and hustle mentality that he carries on and off the court.
Saathoff shared, “It means a lot to me it was such a great accomplishment to break and especially breaking it at home for everyone to see in front of friends and family.”
Saathoff broke the record on a win at home against Crossroad Christian Academy, finishing the game with 13 rebounds.
This is Saathoff’s second year on varsity coming off the bench and getting valuable minutes on a strong Golden Warrior team. This year Saathoff started 30/31 games being a really golden player on a young Golden Warrior team. Saathoff also plays football being a star wide receiver for the golden warriors and also is a center fielder for the baseball team being a starter for all three sports.
Teammate junior Brady Berlin stated, “Jack is an important piece of our team because he brings energy when we’re lacking it and doesn’t allow the other team to get second-chance points. When he’s not on the floor, we don’t rebound as well, and the level of energy isn’t the same.”
Saathoff is ready for his senior year, he is hoping to break the all time rebounding record held by Lucas Austin that was broken in 2024 with 694 rebounds. This would mean that Saathoff needs 332 rebounds to break the all-time rebounding record and cement his name in the all time records. Saathoff is more than ready to have an incredible senior year.
