The Cyber Truck made by Tesla came out on November 30, 2023, in Gigafactory, Texas. The truck is now out for purchase but many have already had their pre orders in since November of 2019. The Cyber Truck is going to start at $60,990 for the rear wheel drive version; however, this model will not come out until 2025. The all wheel drive version that has 600 horsepower will start at $79,990 with a 340-mile range.

  Since the truck’s announcement, a lot has changed. The one change that caught the most eyes was that the price of the truck increased around $30,000 due to inflation. Another one of the biggest changes was that the torque (the twisting force that causes rotation) went up substantially compared to the 2019 model by around 9,000lbs of torque. The 2023 version was even better than the previous 2019’s 0-60 time by 0.3 seconds.

  Now the big question that everyone is asking is if the truck is worth the hefty price. If you are looking for a fast, strong, and reliable truck then yes, the truck is worth the price.

  Before the truck’s release, Tesla came out and told the public that the car will be made with Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel material, one of the strongest materials that a car could be made with. This type of material can withstand a gunshot from a 9mm handgun. The truck also will be equipped with armored glass. However, without upgrading the package the car will not come with bulletproof glass. But with the package the car should withstand shots from a semi-automatic weapon.

  A big selling point for the car was that it was one of the most durable trucks out on the market that is fully electric. The car performed very well against other trucks in the pulling test. It even beat out Ford’s new electric truck. Nor is it slow either. The Cyber Truck beat a Porsche 911 in a race while pulling another Porsche 911.
  With good things come bad things as well. A major issue that people are having is that the car has a huge range which decreases by almost 200 miles. Along the fall in range, a large price increase came as well. 

  Overall the Truck had brought many new challenges and new solutions for Tesla and should bring dividends for the company.
