This winter season Student Council is selling ugly sweatshirts, which have been sold for the last few years. There are both crewnecks and hoodies available in two colors, navy and white. They are $25 for sizes youth small up to adult XL, and anything other than that is $28.
The orders are due by November 10th and will arrive by December 1st. This will be the last time they are selling them ever.
Student Council advisor Alexis Ruiz said, “This is our fourth and final year doing the student council Ugly Sweater sale. This is a fundraiser for the student council to help provide for things like our leadership conference & main meals for our holiday potlucks. This sale has gone over so well that every year we have kept the same design, but added a new color along with the classic navy blue.”
The selling of these sweaters has come to an end since the advisors for Student Council are stepping down. Ruiz and Nicole Schlemmer have been leading StuCo for five years together.
Junior StuCo representative Sophie Potthoff’s shared, “I think the ugly sweaters are such a fun fundraiser for our student council, and they’re a really cute thing to purchase for the holidays. We’ve been selling them for the past few years so it has become a tradition!”
Student Council member Sofia Georgieva said, “The ugly sweaters are such cute Christmas editions and I can’t wait to see people showing their spirit during the holiday season! I love that StuCo is bringing back this design from last season I can’t wait to purchase.”
To purchase an ugly “sweater,” there is a Google form that students must fill out, which is attached to flyers around the school and was also in an email sent to everyone. You can use either Venmo, a credit/debit card, or cash or check.
