The Netflix show “Wednesday,” directed by Tim Burton, premiered in November of 2022. On August 6, 2025, the producers released the second season of “Wednesday”.

   Actor Jenna Ortega stars in the show as the dark and heartless Wednesday, as well as Emma Myers who plays the happy, joyful Enid Sinclair; she appeared to be Wednesday’s best friend throughout the series. The series has a familiar but original story line as the Addams Family. The series has the storyline of fitting in, with Wednesday’s dark character, it’s harder for her to fit in at her new school. As the series continues, Wednesday explores her friendship with Enid Sinclair, even though they couldn’t be more far from different from each other. Wednesday is about a dark, cold girl who goes to a school called Weathermore. Wednesday discovers mysteries throughout the town and is always in some type of trouble. The new season keeps 

the watchers on their toes and on the edge of their seats. 

   Senior Gabriela Mango, a watcher of Wednesday, says she hopes for season two to have more backstory of the school and for Wednesday to discover more about her powers. 

  “I liked how in the show there were a lot of friendship dynamics between the characters and the mystery of the whole show is really interesting to watch! I would like season two for the show. Wednesday is for her to explore her power a little more and gain control of her visions, also I would like to have more backstory of the school and its secret,” Mango shared.

  If you’re interested in mystery, drama, thriller, fantasy, and horror, then I highly recommend this show to you. This season is more exciting than the first season, because of the mysteries and the actors’ character development. The new season also offers more background information of the show and it gives the watchers a better understanding of the past of the show.
