Carthage College, a Division III school in Wisconsin, offers a strong track and field program that expands in both athletic excellence and personal development within their athletes. With a supportive coaching staff, nice facilities, and a great community, Liberty is excited to attend.
“I’m grateful for everyone who’s helped me get to this point, my coaches, teammates, and family,” Liberty said. “I’m beyond excited to join the Firebirds and keep chasing my dreams.”
Liberty, a senior on the Sterling High School track team, is taking this season personally as she sets goals for her success.
Liberty shared, “This senior season means a lot to me, I need to continue the hard work and push myself to qualify for state.”
During the college search process, Liberty was in contact with many coaches and colleges. She was determined to find the right home to continue her athletic and academic career.
“Carthage stood out to me because of the diversity in the school and how the coaches made me feel at home when I went to visit,” Liberty shared.
Liberty is ready to make an immediate impact during her freshman year at Carthage and is already setting new goals for herself. She looks forward to getting to know her new teammates and coaches as well.
Liberty stated, “Some goals I have is to set a personal record in my main events and contribute to the team’s success.”
Head Coach Tyler Gaumer said, “Taah is an amazing person who brings a positive attitude each and every day, she has been one of my favorite athletes to coach while at SHS. I look forward to watching and supporting her as she continues track at Carthage.”
Liberty plans to major in health services/allied health. She hopes to find a career that works with athletes.
