Every year Starbucks drops their seasonal menus when the time rolls around. This year, the new Valentine’s Day menu was dropped on February 4, 2025. Along with this new menu, they have also made a few changes to store rules.
Some of the new drink items include the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frappuccino and the Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew. The two drinks are here to represent the Valentine’s season with their pink accents. They have also added two new refreshers that feature blackberries, the Blackberry Sage Lemonade Refresher and the Midnight drink.
When asked her opinion on the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frappuccino, senior Lillian Reaver said “The drink is good if you like Tru Fru strawberries. It is very sweet, but otherwise I enjoyed it!”
For food, they have added a Valentine Cake Pop, a Vanilla Bean Custard Danish, and a Petite Vanilla Bean Scone. The Valentine’s Cake Pop is definitely a big hit because of its decorative red frosting with a white heart in the center and white sprinkles on top! These new sweet treats are an amazing addition to the Starbucks menu.
As for changes, Starbucks now uses glass cups and mugs when you order your drinks in store. This new rule is also great for the environment as it cuts down on the use of plastic and paper and prevents littering. Also, If you finish a tea or brewed coffee while still in the building you can get a free refill!
Sophomore Sophia Torres said, “I think the glass cups and mugs are such a good idea for the environment and I also think the free refills are a good addition to Starbucks!”
Starbucks is also making an effort to write a little uplifting note on your drinks to go when they aren’t too busy.
Freshman Ronni Oyen shared, “Getting a note on my cup is another thing to look forward to when I get a drink.”
This Valentine’s menu is a big hit and I definitely recommend trying some of these new items.
