Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 10, Sterling High School’s student council is selling lemonade grams made by Main Squeeze for Valentines Day. This is the second year that the club has sold and delivered them.
Main Squeeze was established in the fall of 2022 by Madison Wescott; since then Main Squeeze has become a very popular lemonade-stand around the area. Student council advisor Nicole Schlemmer said that Wescott “created the flyers and the little tags students will write a message to the recipient on, then she attaches the tags to the bottles and sorts them by classroom/teacher.”
The lemonade grams are strawberry flavored and are $5 each. You can either pay for it with cash or venmo. You can purchase these drinks during both A and B lunches just outside of the cafeteria by student council members. If for some reason students cannot purchase during lunch, they may see Schlemmer, co-advisor Alexis Ruiz, or anyone on the student council executive team.
The lemonade grams will be delivered to students during 4th hour on February 14th, by student council members.
Sophomore Cora Enright was asked who she would buy a lemonade gram for and why and she said “I would buy a lemonade gram for my friend Maci Nelson because she is such a good friend to me.”
Ruiz said, “Madison was a student council president herself at Rock Falls and she created this fundraiser to not only help the area student councils raise a little money, but just as a way to spread some joy across the school! My favorite part of partnering with Main Squeeze is being able to work with Madison. She makes everything so easy and fun!
Make sure you purchase one of these tasty drinks for your friends before it’s too late!
