“Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” is planned to release October 25, 2024; however, many were able to test a beta version of the game this past week before its release. You can purchase the game at almost any retail or video game store or it can be purchased online through gaming console stores for $69.99 for its base version and $99.99 for the deluxe version.
The Call of Duty franchise has been a dominant title in first person shooter gaming, and based on player reports from the beta, Black Ops 6 will be no exception. Many players are excited for the innovative and revolutionary game changes that allow the game to stand out from others in the franchise.
On the contrary, some players are finding the gameplay to be repetitive and extremely similar to other shooters in the past years. Some say the look and feel of the game are relatively identical to its predecessor “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”, released in 2020.
However, some find this welcoming and warming as “Cold War” was a quick fan favorite within the Call of Duty community. Some are even found agreeing with the similarities, saying things such as “if it’s not broken, why fix it?” and have begun to reminisce about fond memories of playing the previous title.
Despite the fanbase and critics alike attacking the game for similarities, the preorders for the game reached number one in just a matter of days, surpassing games such as “Astro Bot”, “Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero”, and “Assassins Creed Shadows”.
The feel is very friendly to new users and new players have found themselves enjoying the game.
If you are interested in the game or enjoy shooter games, I highly recommend picking this title up and trying it for yourself.
