Time to prepare for prom!

Time+to+prepare+for+prom%21

With prom coming up quickly, here are appointments girls need to get done. Many appointments have to be set up for the perfect night ahead.

After getting your dress, I think you should start off by finding someone to do your spray tan! With not much sun lately, looking pasty isn’t the move. I recommend Shay Papoccia for the best spray tan! She always gets you the right glow, and it stays on for days after.

Nails can be just a hassle trying to figure out the best place to go. Many girls paint their nails themselves or they end up going to their local salons in Sterling to get acrylic nails with a cute design to match their dress. You are able to walk right in and get seated right away no matter how many days before prom. The cost usually varies from $45-$55.

For hair, many people struggle between wanting their hair down with a braid, or up with a ponytail because it can get really hot by the end of the night. Looking on pinterest or tiktok from other proms that have happened are great for inspiration.

Makeup is a very hard decision to make because many girls don’t like the look makeup gives. A lot of girls go with a clean, simple aesthetic look instead of looking cakey.

Picking out flowers can be a pretty easy prom preparation for most people. Some people like the look of bouquets and others like corsages. Many people see a look modeled on Pinterest and fall in love with the idea.

Heels can be an easy find but also hard. Many girls go with a simple black or clear look since you can’t really see them. But if the dress has a slit, most girls go with a pop of color that matches their dress perfectly.

Lastly, finding a prom group to go with. Most girls end up in a group with their girl-friends so they can capture all the memories together. Then they most likely end up sitting together at McCormick Event Center. Most of the time downtown Sterling is a popular place to go for photos, but with three proms going on May 11, 2024, finding a place might be challenging.

Planning prom can be a lot of work and stressful but in the end it’s all fun. A perfect night requires a lot of planning.
