While everyone may dream of throwing a pie in Principal Jason Austin’s face, this Friday S.H.S. students and staff can make that a reality.
Publication students are planning a pie in the face fundraiser to raise money to cover the cost of the graphic designer who helped to design this year’s yearbook cover.
As the year goes on, publications students put everything they possibly can into each and every spread to make it look perfect yet also make sure memories from each sport, club, game day and much more are captured. We like to make the memories from your high school years come to life and make it so you can look back at them forever.
This year’s fundraiser is a pie in the face which will be held on Friday May, 3rd from 11:15 to 12:30 in the courtyard of Sterling High School. Tickets will be sold during both lunches April 30 to May 2 for $5 each or you are able to add additional toppings to each pie for $1.
Those who will be “pied” are Principal Jason Austin, and seniors Lucas Austin, Yamaan Alkhalaf, Andre Klaver, Nevaeh Frey, and Hailey Bielema.
Senior Yamaan Alkhalaf wanted to get pied in the face “to help the Sterling High School publications class reach their goal and make more memories for my senior year.”
All of the contestants getting pied in the face chose to do so to help out as much as they can to have the best senior year possible.
Principal Jason Austin said, “I did this to help my school out and just have a fun time and make the students at Sterling High School make fun memories.”
As a class we want to help as much as we can and we think this fundraiser will make memories for people and let everyone have a fun time to end off the school year.
