Apple has just made history in the virtual world. Recently Apple just came out with the Apple Vision Pro becoming the second company to come out with a virtual reality headset.
Many people are asking what the main features are of this new virtual reality device. One of the most impressive features that the Apple VisionPro has is that it contains two OLED displays that all together pack a total of 23 million pixels. That is more than a 4K TV for each eye.
What powers this beast of a machine? The main chip in the VisionPro is the M2 chip. The VisionPro also contains 12 cameras, five sensors, six microphones, and the popular virtual assistant Siri.
One of the main worries about the new headset was how it will hold up. The VisionPro can and has withstood walking into doors and walls. However, after a drop test of the VisionPro, the front glass completely shattered.
Although the front glass shattered, it was only a protective covering for the more important piece underneath that actually projects what the user wants to see.
The VisionPro has many new features. One of the most anticipated features is the pass through which allows the user to see the outside world and still have a different application playing. The applications can be moved and changed in size depending on what the user wants.
Another new feature that comes with the VisionPro is the persona. With the persona, the user can FaceTime others and still appear with a look alike that is a scanned version of the user at the setup of the pro.
One of the biggest downsides to the VisionPro is that it does not come with the carrying case and you have to buy that separately for around $199.
People also have been flagged by the large price tag that has set new records.
Now if you want to own this device for yourself the price is hefty. To buy the VisionPro you would need to scrape together $3,499 just for the starting storage model. Compared to the competition like Meta, Apple has set a new record for price.
Overall the VisionPro has its ups and downs but it is ultimately up to the consumers to decide if it is the right fit for their needs.
