Going into the new year, many shows from previous years are releasing new seasons. In 2024, the newest season of “Outer Banks” will be launched on Netflix. Before watching season four, here are some valuable details you should know about seasons one, two, and three.
The main character, John B., is told that his father “Big John” is lost at sea. However, John B. is convinced that his father’s disappearance wasn’t an accident and that he’s still out there somewhere. Determined, John B. decides to hunt for the Royal Merchant, a ship his father went missing for. John B.’s friends, Kiara, Pope, and JJ (also known as the Pogues) join him on this journey and come across difficult challenges along the way.
One of the challenges they encounter is John B. catches feelings for a Kook. In Outer Banks, Pogues and Kooks don’t typically get along due to their differences in wealth.
This Kook was Sarah, the daughter of Ward Cameron. Not only was this a problem because she’s a Kook but there was also unfinished drama between Kiara and Sarah years back. Sarah also had a boyfriend named Topper at the time which eventually resulted in fights and arguments between John B. and him.
Now, the biggest problem that they encountered was that Ward killed Big John while fishing on a boat one early morning to discuss the plan for when they found the gold on the Royal Merchant.
The Pogues come across other treasures such as The Cross of Santo Domingo. They learn that it’s worth a fortune and is capable of healing. They also learn that the cross belongs to Pope’s family which made the group eager to take the golden cross back to Pope’s family.
Unfortunately, while planning to save Sarah from her criminal-like family on a boat, the cross gets dropped in the ocean. While on the boat the Pogues ran into Cleo, a friend from Nassau, who helps them.
The last expedition the Pogues went on together was in Barbados where they competed against Mr. Singh for El Dorado. John B. found his father in Barbados by listening to a bell ringing to the same beat that he had heard when he called for John B. to come home as a kid. John B. found Big John in a church ringing the bell, exhausted.
John B. and Sarah recovered the gold together in a cave while Big John stayed back and waited. Eventually, they got the gold and encountered Mr. Singh and Ward which resulted in an intense battle for the gold.
Netflix has seasons one, two, and three of Outer Banks available to watch. Season four will come out in the middle of 2024.
