Chipotle is a Mexican fast food chain that recently expanded into Dixon. Chipotle is popular for its burritos, burrito bowls, lifestyle bowls, quesadillas, and tacos.
With these options, many different meats and toppings come with them. The two most notable meat choices are steak and chicken, alongside the limited time carne asada. Brown or white rice are the rice options with brown pinto and black for the beans. To top things off, you can get various salsas, cheeses, and veggies.
I recently went to the Dixon Chipotle and got a burrito bowl consisting of white rice, chicken, corn, salsa, queso, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and extra sour cream. Each bowl has the option to come with chips and a dip, and I got the chips with vinaigrette.
To start, the drive from Dixon to my house was 30 minutes, which meant the bowl was not fresh when I had it. Even then, the bowl was not soggy when I had it, as the dry rice managed to mix well with the sour cream. Eating the bowl with chips was alright, as the chips were not consistent with the amount of salt on each one.
The rest of the bowl was a good combination, with the right amount of salty and savory flavors. The chicken mixed well with the queso, salsa, and sour cream, with the rice being a good base for everything to eat with. Overall, the bowl was a great combination, and even though there might be even better combinations I will stick with this one.
Moving on to the service, the workers were very nice and patient with everything that was asked of them, and made sure everything was to our preference.
Overall, it was an overwhelmingly great experience, and I definitely recommend someone to try it out, especially if it’s your first time.
