S.H.S. students share their current jobs

There are many job opportunities in our community. Here are some examples of the jobs people in our school have and how they were able to achieve them. 

Kierra Magana

 

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “I am a food and nutrient assistant at CGH Medical Center.”

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Deliver trays to patients, do dishes, put trays together.”

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “No, because I’m not interested in the medical field.”

Ashyia Love

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “Currently at Subway as a sandwich artist”

A2: “Communicate with people and make their food”

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “No, not a good work environment.”

Ethen Hiland

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “McDonalds as a crew member.”

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Cleaning and locking everything up. Making sure everything is restocked.”

A3: “No, because I’m too smart.”

Alecia Garcia 

 

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “Menards as a cashier.”

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Talking to customers, giving correct change, assisting in their needs”

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “No, because I plan on getting a career in forensics.”

Lauren Jacobs

 

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

 

 

A1: “The Duis Center as a Gymnastics Coach”

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Have to spot kids in certain moves, and I have to have a lesson plan for every class. There’s much more to it but those are some of the most basic things.”

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “As a main job, no. It wouldn’t pay enough to be my main income, but it is a really fun job so I would consider still doing it as a side job in the future.”

 

Autum Flagg

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “Farm hand at The Jacobs Farm” 

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Cleaning the feed, cleaning waters, greasing the trucks”

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “Yes, because I want to run my own farm.” 

Cameron Taylor

Q1: Where is your current job and what is your official title?

A1: “Pizza Ranch as Ranch Hands” 

Q2: What are some of the responsibilities that your job entails?

A2: “Make pizza, cleaning” 

Q3: Could you see yourself doing this job in the future? Why or why not?

A3: “No, I already have another job and plan to quit next Monday” 

Getting a job is never easy, but hopefully you gained some knowledge about how to get some of the jobs in our community and what these jobs require.
