Get your H20 fix
With so many options, there is a water bottle for everyone.
As you look in the hallways or classrooms at S.H.S., you will see a variety of water bottles being carried by students and staff. If you’re looking for a new water bottle, this might help you find the perfect one.
The Stanley Cup The Stanley Cup has many pros and cons. Starting with the pros, the cup comes in different sizes and colors. The price of each cup varies depending on the size. It comes with an attached handle and a straw. You can also change the way you drink from it by either using the straw or wide mouth opening. The insulation keeps your drinks hot or cold for up to 24 hours. But what many people don’t like about the Stanley cups is that they are very heavy, bulky, and don’t fit in most cup holders. 40 oz cost $40 and 30 oz cost $30, so I think the cost is just fitting. Junior Hailey Bielema states, “I love my Stanley Cup because it allows me to drink a lot of water and it’s pink.”
Yeti The Yeti cup comes in many different sizes and colors too. Yeti used to be very popular because of its durability and insulation. They are built to not break in the wild, which is why many campers prefer a Yeti over any other water bottle. Many younger people prefer the smaller 20oz because it’s not as big and is easier to carry with you. Yeti cups have more color and accessories than most bottles as well. Yeti prices vary from $30 – $60 depending on which oz size you choose. Junior Macie Brady states, “I like my Yeti because it keeps my drinks cold and it’s my backup when my Stanley is dirty because it is just as good.”
Cirkul Water Bottle The Cirkul water bottle looks like any normal water bottle. You have a choice between stainless steel or plastic. There are also various colors and size options. The lid has a wide hole where you can switch out different flavor cartridges. It transforms your water into your favorite flavor from your choice. One Cirkul flavor cartridge flavors about 132 ounces of water, depending on the flavor dial setting you put it on. With a 22 ounce bottle, that is about six fill-ups. But what’s cool is when you first buy it it comes with two free flavors to try in the starter kit with the water bottle. Sophomore Hailyn Check-Garza states, “I like the Cirkul water bottle because it gets me to drink more water because of the flavorings you choose.”
Hydro Flask The Hydro Flask used to be the popular water bottle everyone wanted, and if you didn’t have one you weren’t cool. Hydro Flask comes in many different sizes, styles and colors. Many prefer the top with a straw because it’s easier to drink out of and won’t spill easily. Hydro Flasks cost varies from $30- $60 depending on if you add more accessories for it, or the ounces. Hydro Flask is known for its expensive stainless steel insulated water bottle. The vacuum insulation can stop heat conduction from inside to outside, or from outside to inside to maintain the water staying cold for 24 hours. Hydro Flask has competitors but none of them have been able to recreate the brand Hydro Flask has.
No matter which you choose, there is a water bottle for everyone.
