There’s nothing more beautiful to see the sunset. Students should do what they can to help keep our part of the world beautiful.

On April 22, 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day. The purpose was to be aware of the world’s environmental problems. Since 1970, Earth Day has been on April 22. On the first inaugural event of Earth day, elementary schools and high schools attended.

Another purpose of Earth Day is to get people to know what methods there are for saving our planet. Over 193 countries have celebrated Earth Day and around one billion people have pledged to do something to save our planet.

Here are some methods you could use to save our earth.

  • 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. To reduce, you could reuse a grocery bag instead of plastic bags. To Reuse, you could donate clothes that probably don’t fit anymore, this is a good way for people to recycle clothes as well.
  • Planting trees in your house or your community: The trees give oxygen we necessarily breathe. Every year, about 15 billion trees are cut down, trees help stop pollution with waterways. It’s also a fun activity you can do with your community.
  • Walking and biking: Using the bus is another method to save the environment, walking and biking also help your health by burning some calories. Using public transportation can save you money and time. It’s also a way to reduce oil consumption.
  • Trash troopers: They are necessary because there is a lot of trash out on the streets and a lot of waste in our ocean. This is a nice activity to do with family and friends because it’s a nice goal for the environment.

Remember that our planet is suffering from climate change, pollution, waste, and other problems. We as a community will love to save our planet and protect it for the future.
